- Personal note: I don't have experience of this role, so please be patient with me when I ask for your assistance. David, June 2007.
Summary of release process
- See also Pre-release test
The Ekiga release manager uploads a tested tarball of the release sources to master.gnome.org . This means that the release is available to downstream Gnome packagers and distributors. The detailed process is on http://live.gnome.org/MaintainersCorner/Releasing
The release manager must upload matching dependencies for OPAL and PWLIB in time for the release.
Ancillary tasks
The Ekiga Release Manager should make a repository of contributed binary packages, such as RPMs and DEBs, available to the webmaster of ekiga.org
Who is the release manager?
The release manager is currently Damien Sandras[1]. That baton is being passed on to David Corking[2]. Release managers can be contacted by mailing the ekiga-devel-list at gnome.org
